Services that Support Advertising Decision
Readex is a mail survey research company that provides information to various types of clients in the form of reports and studies. It is a full-service supplier that offers professional services. Its reports offer wide range of data from advertisement ratings and readership demographics to corporate annual report evaluation.
Readex reports are divided into three areas to better meet the needs of different types of their customers:
1. Reports for Magazine Publishers
a) On Target! designed to determine how
readers feel about the overall power and effectiveness of an ad. The questions concentrate
on the visual appeal, readability, informativeness, and clarity of the ad. The
report also rates effectiveness of the ad which allows the customer to compare one ad to
the next. Finally, it includes verbatim comments.
b) Message Impact® is an in-depth advertiser study
that acquires both quantitative and qualitative information from its subjects. The
creativity of each ad is evaluated based on its ability to get attention, its credibility
and information value. The study also asks for the list of readers' actions caused
by the ad and for their comments on their reaction to the ad.
c) Red Sticker concentrates on the original reading experience of the magazine readers. The report offers the answers to the following questions: what readers remember seeing, remember reading, and found of interest.
d) Ad Perception measures some basic components that an advertisement must have in order to be successful: ability to attract attention, believability, and informativeness.
e) Custom Studies cover unique and special marketing needs of Readex's clients by profiling their readers both quantitatively and qualitatively along one or more dimensions, including their reading habits, brand awareness/preference, and their personal and professional demographics.
2. Reports for Association Members
a) Member Satisfaction Surveys single out aspects
of association membership that are important to the members, determine what can be
improved and what ideas association members have for new products and services.
b) Salary Surveys provide members with financial
"frames of reference," supplying the figures for average salaries and average
reasonable and customary fees for various services.
c) Industry Studies help the association members and
outside interests better understand the association industry, for instance, by gauging the
size of the market association members represent.
3. Reports for Corporations
a) Editorial Audits measure the effectiveness of
customer or employee publications. These studies document receipt, usage and
opinions of the magazine or newsletter. They provide the producers of the publication with
valuable feedback and suggestions for its improvement.
b) Annual Review Studies are aimed at
finding out from various interested groups, such as stockholders, analysts, employees,
their reaction to corporate annual reports.
c) Custom Studies are also offered by Readex to
determine the nature of the readers, including demographics, reading needs and interests.
This can help corporations to show advertisers why ads should be placed in their
publications.
